Minutes of Zoom executive meeting:
I would like to share the results of the first Zoom meeting of the Pediatric Society of Queens held yesterday at 7:00 PM.
I would like to thank Tanwir Hasan,MD for helping us set up and sponsor our online meeting.
Thank you also to Dr Hari Shukla for moderating the meeting and sharing his experiences during this uncertain time, and Dr Jose Villarin, Dr Babu Bangaru,Dr Is Patel,Dr Alex Yaphopcon, Dr Gonzalo Sabogal, Dr Pinchi Srinivasan and Dr Sam Bangug for attending and sharing as well their experiences and concerns.
Due to the current situation, our scheduled Resident's Scientific Meeting, Annual Gala, and outing were all set aside for the safety of everyone and to keep the curve flat.
Dr Shukla and Dr Patel suggested to extend the tenure of the current officers for another year and will be presented to the general meeting next week for approval.
Another suggestion was to send annual dues request to all current members to keep our Society's financial health.
We will also setup a new way to inform and share experiences among members faster than email. ( like whats app ).
Until further notice we will be holding our meetings via Zoom, We will invite speakers and ask for sponsors. We found this to be the best way to keep our Society alive and in touch.
Thank you also to Dr Jose Villarin for keeping us informed via our website.
Please visit our official website for more information.
Dr Tanwir Hasan is available to help anyone assistance to setup and learn how to join the meetings and will also share with us his knowledge and experience of Telemedicine ( proper coding ) and how we can prepare for the opening our practices - like how to generate list of children that needs immunization and many more.
Stay well and safe till our next meeting next week - Tuesday 7:00 PM May 19.
Via Zoom- check your email for the invitation.
